spring, it's official
Yesterday was the first official full day of spring. Everyone is talking about how beautiful the weather has been already this month. My thoughts have been swirling between family relations, changes in my workplace, business travel, how challenging it has been to eat healthy plus connect with group exercise classes, battles with hot flashes, neck pain, wrist strain and turning 50 in less than 2 weeks then chaperone prom in about 5. In the midst of this we have ridden our bicycles, felt the wind on the motor scooter, visited nieces new babies, parents, kindergarden concert for nephew, readied the yard for plants, guests and relaxing. Right now listening to raindrops on the roof of sunroom watching the day disappear into dusk and waiting for the house spotlights to turn on and through these moments I hear birds chirping.
I havw been thinking about the flowering cherry tree we planted Memorial Day 2009 in remembrance of Benjamin. Our tree has strugggled to live and has yet to really bloom. For me. Do we try again with a different type of tree? Do we skip a tree or plant and just have the angel statue? It makes me wonder if tbere is a deeper message to the death of Benjamin....
